Seeking Mechanics for On Road Technician - Automotive Equipment

“Hands-on work. On the road. Real conversations. Real earning potential.”

We’re working with a specialist in automotive workshop equipment who keeps collision repair businesses across Brisbane running smoothly. This is a mobile field role where you’ll be out on the road, onsite with customers, installing, servicing, and getting equipment back to doing what it should.

What’s on offer

  • $100k package based on: $70,000 – $80,000 base salary + 12% super + vehicle
  • Mon–Fri, 7:30am – 4:30pm with genuine work/life balance built in
  • Full training + ongoing technical upskilling
  • Pathway into sales with lucrative commission earnings on top of base salary
  • Real opportunity to grow into senior technical or customer-facing commercial roles

About the role

You’ll be out across Brisbane working directly on customer sites, installing, servicing, and repairing automotive collision repair equipment.

This is proper hands-on field work — diagnosing faults, solving problems in real time, and getting workshops back up and running when things go wrong.

One day you might be installing a hoist, the next you’re fault-finding a MIG welder, or getting an alignment system calibrated and back online so a workshop can keep moving.

It suits people who enjoy practical work, thinking on their feet, and dealing with customers in a way that builds trust and confidence.

Down the track, you’ll naturally step into identifying opportunities and talking through solutions with customers onsite. This opens the door to lucrative commission earnings on top of your base salary for those who are comfortable in that space and enjoy building trust with customers.

Equipment you’ll work on

  • Vehicle hoists
  • Alignment & measuring systems
  • Welding equipment (MIG & spot)
  • Dent pulling systems
  • General workshop equipment

Who this will suit

We’re open on background — what matters most is ability and attitude.

This could suit:

  • Early-career technicians or mechanically minded go-getters looking to build a long-term career
  • Experienced trades or technicians who know their craft and enjoy sharing knowledge while working with customers
  • Overseas-qualified tradespeople with full Australian working rights who are ready to get stuck in and show what they can do

You’ll do well if you have:

  • Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills
  • Confidence working independently on customer sites
  • Good communication skills with customers and teammates
  • A reliable, “turn up and get it done” attitude
  • Willingness to learn and keep building your skillset
